A beautiful one-off Properly Made Book for drawing and watercolour.
This book is bound in black pigskin leather with tooling in genuine gold leaf to both covers and the spine. The surface of pigskin leather has a luxurious, jewel-like grain pattern.
The book is filled primarily with 40 pages of very heavyweight (600gsm) cotton rag, vintage handmade watercolour paper made at Hayle Mill in Kent, England, probably in the 1980s.
The inside of the covers are lined with a wonderful hand printed and coloured lino print. At the front and back of the book are 10 pages of lightweight, smooth surfaced paper for notes and pencil sketches etc.
