This professional grade, acid-free, white, tear resistant repair tape is widely used throughout the world in libraries, museums, schools, framing studios and the home to make simple, effective repairs on books, documents and works of art.
P90 is made from paper and coated with age-resistant acrylic adhesive. It is used in all kinds of book and paper repair as well as in framing where it's widely used for hinging works of art that do not warrant wheat paste and Japanese paper hinges. and sealing frames
It is extremely easy to use. The tape peels away from a silicone paper backing and is applied to the receiving surface of the paper where it is positioned into place by hand and then, like all pressure sensitive tapes, burnished with a bone folder to achieve the optimum bonding strength.
Both the adhesive and paper are buffered (pH 8.7) so the tape remains acid-free for decades after application and helps to prevent an influx of acids. P90 will not age, yellow and crack unlike normal adhesive tapes which should never be used in a repair process on paper.
This tape is widely used in a range of book repair processes including reattaching book covers, rejoining pages to one another, reinforcing folds on maps and music scores.
