J Whatman 1940 - Vintage Paper Pack
32 hand-cut sheets of Whatman paper dated: 1940.
The packs contains 32 hand-cut pieces of mould-made, smooth, hot pressed paper suitable for detailed art work such as botanical watercolor and fine line drawing.
This is some of nicest Whatman paper we've seen. It's 78 years old and almost flawless. Interestingly it's the only wartime paper for fine-art from Whatman we've ever seen.
Sheet Size -
32 pieces - Rectangle, 180 x 135 mm , 7 1/2 x 5 1/4 inches (give or take...)
Double Elephant - a single sheet, 27 x 40 inches.
Originally made for drawing, watercolour and printmaking these will be suitable for other varied techniques including dry painting. Try it out and see.
Please note that some of the sheets may contain age-related flaws such as marks, spots or discolouration to the edges.
