This sale is a bundle of 12 prints, one of each as shown in the photos. Each print is approximately 15 x 10 inches (39 x 26 cm).

ALPs (Antique Lining Papers) are printed from hand carved lino blocks in one or two colours, and made on antique, handmade text printed papers.

ALPS were devised as a range of cost effective decorative papers made for book related crafts but of course they can be used in various ways including being framed, decoupage, collage, lampshades, box covering and lining etc.

ALPs are printed by hand on antique, handmade, text printed paper from the 18th century. Each sheet measures approximately 14 x 9 inches.  

Print Bundle: Twelve lino relief prints, in various patterns and colours

Relief printing is where a printing block or plate has ink applied to its non-recessed surface which is brought into contact with paper. When pressure is applied, the non-recessed surface will leave ink on the paper, whereas the recessed areas will not.
