This slim binding is filled with 60 pages of vintage handmade watercolour paper made by renowned papermaker, J Barcham Green, at Hayle Mill, Kent, England, in 1986.

This hot pressed (smooth texture) paper is perfect for most media including watercolour, inks and pencils and is a welcome reminder of the skills and qualities of this legendary papermaker. 

Covered with a wonderful paste printed paper, this square book is perfectly sized for travel, fitting easily into a bag. The gold tooled suns and moons in white and yellow gold leaf on the chocolate brown goatskin leather spine fit perfectly with the sun faces on the hand printed paper covers. 

The corners on the cover boards are vellum tipped which not only look great, they also add protection to the most vulberable part of the binding, especially when in a bag. 

The structure of this book is such that it can be opened fully, board to board, allowing the book to be held in one hand whilst sketching with the other.
