An original early 20th century binding filled with beautiful blank paper by J Whatman watermarked 1920 and 1921.

This book was bound in full leather by Frank Garrett, a noted bookbinder associatated at the turn of the century with the Birmingham Municipal School of Art, regularly exhibinting at most of the Arts and Crafts Exhibitions of the period.

The covers and spine (with 5 raised bands) are tooled in gold, the endpapers are beautiful hand block printed, the edges gilt.
