In paste printing, the surface of the paper is covered in a colourised paste made from flour and for example, paint, with a brush. The painted paper is laid on the printing block and when pressure is applied across the sheet (in a printing press), the paint is squeezed away from the raised surface leaving a lighter colour and a lighter pattern, almost like a negative print.

All of the books in this series have gold tooled leather spines with dotted lines to the top and tail.

All of the books in this series have vellum tipped corners.

Vellum tipped corners serve as both decorative and practical additions and are very rarely seen on any off-the-shelf binding.

Vellum (aka parchment) is an animal product, similar to leather but processed differently to give a strong, papery finish.
